Charlie Sheen, who was fired from the CBS comedy "Two and a Half Men" during his high-profile 2011 meltdown and has since launched his FX sitcom “Anger Management,” told David Letterman that he wants to return to the CBS show for its finale.

Reminded that his “Men” character has been killed off, Sheen responded, "I am dead. But so is the show.”

Sheen appeared Monday night on CBS’s “Late Show with David Letterman.” The actor told Letterman that drugs didn’t play a part in his 2011 meltdown. "During the previous 30 years, sure," he added.

Here are a couple of clips from Sheen’s Letterman appearance. The top one includes Sheen talking about “Two and a Half Men” along with his meltdown. In the second video Letterman grills Sheen about “crack cocaine.”
