White House to Host Screening of NBC’s ‘1600 Penn’

President Barack Obama will host the cast and crew of NBC’s new comedy "1600 Penn" for a screening at the White House, reports Deadline.com.

The screening, slated for today — Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013 — will end a day of promotional activities for the show, including a panel and screening at the National Press Club and a guided tour of the White House, the story notes.

The cast and crew will meet Obama at 4:45 p.m. for a screening and reception, along with Obama’s speechwriting team.

The series debuts Thursday and stars Bill Pullman as President Gale Gilchrist.
