Michael Jackson’s estate reportedly paid $55,000 to Ola Ray, the woman featured in the singer’s "Thriller" music video, to settle a lawsuit filed by Ray, reports TMZ.com. The lawsuit was settled last year.

Ray, a former Playboy centerfold model, filed the suit against Michael Jackson and his production company in 2009, less than two months before Jackson died, the story notes. Ray, now 52, claimed breach of contract, alleging she was still owed a big chunk of profits from the video, three decades after it was released, the piece notes.

The director of the video, John Landis, filed a similar lawsuit against the estate and has also settled, although the story doesn’t specify his settlement. He had sought more than $2 million, the piece adds.
