20th Century Fox Television has signed a two-year overall deal with "Up All Night’ creator Emily Spivey, reports Deadline.com, noting that her first assignment under the pact will be working as a co-executive producer on the studio’s "Murder Police," an animated show for Fox.

Spivey worked on the animated show "King of the Hill" early in her career, the piece adds.

She will work on current series and develop new projects for the studio.

"20th TV has been successful cultivating female writing talent and getting comedy series by female creators on the air," the article notes, citing "New Girl’s" Elizabeth Meriwether and “Don’t Trust the B—-‘s” Nahnatchka Khan, among others.

Spivey’s NBC show "Up All Night" has collapsed since her departure, the story notes. At one point NBC wanted to remake it into a multicamera sitcom, but co-star Christina Applegate quit and co-star Will Arnett this week signed on for a pilot in second position, the piece adds. The show’s Maya Rudolph, meanwhile, has been flooded with offers.
