An actress who was part of Sarah Jessica Parker’s posse on the hit HBO series "Sex and the City" has landed on a CBS comedy.

Kristin Davis, who played Charlotte, one of the sidekicks to Parker’s Carrie on the HBO show, joins the CBS pilot "Bad Teacher," reports Deadline.com.

Davis will play Ginny, a history teacher, choir director and the nemesis of Meredith Davis, a former trophy wife who becomes a teacher to find a new husband after her former husband dumps her, the story says. Davis is played by Ari Graynor.

The project is based on the 2011 Cameron Diaz-Justin Timberlake movie.
