The HBO vampire drama "True Blood" has had a behind-the-scenes shakeup. TheWrap.com reports that the series replaced showrunner Mark Hudis after a relatively short time on the job.

Hudis was tapped in May to replace series creator Alan Ball for the show’s upcoming sixth season after Ball vacated the post to focus on a new project, the Cinemax drama “Banshee,” the story reports.

But now Hudis is leaving to take on a development role as part of his overall deal with HBO, the story says. He’s being replaced by Brian Buckner, who has served as a co-executive producer on the series.
