The second night of NBC’s new season of the singing competition “The Voice” was well off the pace from the premiere one night earlier, based on Nielsen overnights, but “The Voice” was still enough of a presence to shake things up on the other broadcast networks.

One of the casualties appears to be ABC’s “Splash.” TVbytheNumbers.com reports that the celebrity diving competition mustered only a 1.6 average rating in the key 18-49 demo, down a full ratings point from last week and only good enough for fourth place in the 8 p.m. hour.

“The Voice” won the hour with a 3.9 in viewers 18-49, down eight-tenths from Monday’s premiere, but off only one-tenth from the show’s Tuesday premiere last fall. “The Voice” was the top show of the night in the demo.

CBS’s “NCIS” was second at 8 p.m. with a 3.1, and Fox’s “Hell’s Kitchen” delivered a 1.9 to finish third at 8 p.m.

NBC’s “Go On” appeared to benefit from having “The Voice” as a lead-in, surging from last week’s series-low 1.0 average in 18-49 to a 2.1. “Go On” had a 2.4 last time it led out from “The Voice.”

NBC’s other shows also rode the rising tide. “The New Normal” was up seven-tenths to a 1.4 and “Smash” had a bump of three-tenths to a 1.0 after last week’s all-time low in viewers 18-49.

CBS won the night with a 2.4 average for prime time in the 18-49 demo, followed by NBC (2.2 average), Fox (1.9) and ABC (1.9). CBS also won total viewers, averaging 13.5 million to lead ABC (9.8 million), NBC (6.6 million) and Fox (4.1 million).

ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” had a solid performance, rising two-tenths from last week’s special “DWTS” program in the time period for a 2.3 average in 18-49. Leading out from “Dancing,” “Body of Proof” hit a season high with a 1.7, up two-tenths from a week ago.

Fox’s “New Girl” was down one-tenth from the previous week to a 2.2 in adults 18-49, while “The Mindy Project” fell two-tenths to a 1.5.

CBS’s “NCIS: Los Angeles” dipped three-tenths from last week to a 2.6 in the 18-49 demo, and “Golden Boy” lost three-tenths to a 1.4.
