Actor Who Is Playing The Title Role in the Movie Version of ‘The Lone Ranger’ Signs Up to Play in Another Classic TV Show Being Brought to the Big Screen.

Armie Hammer, who will play the title role in the upcoming movie version of "The Lone Ranger," has now signed up to play in another movie version of a classic TV show.

Hammer "is set to star with Tom Cruise in ‘The Man From U.N.C.L.E.,’ the remake of the classic TV series that Guy Ritchie will direct for Warner Bros.," reports Mike Fleming Jr. at Deadline.com..

Hammer will play "a version" of Illya Kuryakin, which was the part originally played by series co-star David McCallum, the story says.

Hammer co-stars with Johnny Depp, who plays Tonto, in "The Lone Ranger."
