A talk show built around a personality who has been a staple of the cable network Bravo has reportedly been canceled. USA Today reports that comedian Kathy Griffin confirmed the news that her late-night talk show "Kathy" was canceled by the channel.

Griffin tweeted about the development Saturday, the piece notes. She responded to a tweet by Perez Hilton about the show’s cancellation, writing: “Sad but tru. Appreciate your kind words, PH.”

The second season of "Kathy" debuted in January, although the series was booted from its prime-time 10 p.m. time period in February, notes EW.com’s Inside TV.

Griffin has been a staple on Bravo with her six-season reality series "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List," which debuted on the network in 2005, the story notes.

She is continuing her relationship with Bravo, USA Today reports, noting that Griffin is scheduled to tape a new comedy special next weekend for a summer debut.

  1. Good. The less we see of that smarmy dame the better!

  2. If NBC really wants to make some noise, hire Kathy to replace Jimmy Fallon on Late Night.

  3. Oh, Digital Guy…I don’t know about that!
Noise would be the operative word…for sure…it’s the other qualities that are incumbent with the position, that would be lacking.
I’m not knocking her. She is who she is and that’s OK with me since I don’t have to turn her on.
The Peacock has enough instability to deal with at present. It doesn’t need to add Griffin to the challenges to its plumage.
