George Lopez is returning to television with a show that he sold to FX, reports EW.com’s Inside TV. The show is called "Saint George."
The actor and comedian sold the project based on a model pioneered by distributor Debmar-Mercury for Tyler Perry sitcoms on TBS and by Charlie Sheen’s comedy "Anger Management" on FX.
The deal is a "10/90" agreement, meaning that FX ordered 10 episodes and if they reach a ratings threshold, the network will automatically order 90 more.
"Saint George" is an ensemble comedy about a divorced Mexican-American who has become a successful entrepreneur, the story says.
