"Glee" co-creator Ryan Murphy is shopping a script with "Dexter" co-executive producer Lauren Gussis that’s an exploration of sexuality, reports EW.com’s Inside TV.

The show is likely to end up on cable, and reportedly a bidding frenzy is whipping up, the story says.

"In fact, steamy sex series could become the next rage,” the report notes. “In September, Showtime is scheduled to premiere ‘Masters of Sex,’ a new drama starring Michael Sheen and the captivating Lizzy Caplan that’s about the real-life pioneers of the science of human sexuality. And you can’t study sex without watching someone have sex, right?"

  1. If it’s a Ryan Murphy production it will no doubt be great the first season, slightly disappointing the second season, be given a third season to try to turn things around, and then a fourth season where things have completely gone off the rails.*
(*if production is a sitcom skip ahead to season two above)

  2. And Ryan’s show will prominently focus on the gay side of exploring sexuality. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, just predicting.
