"Good Morning America" host Robin Roberts, explaining why she wasn’t covering the Boston Marathon bombing, revealed on her Facebook page that she was hospitalized last week, reports the Los Angeles Times’ Show Tracker.

She said that while she was on vacation in Key West she began to feel ill. She returned to New York, where she was admitted to the hospital for a few days. "Seems my young immune system needed a little boost to fight off ‘opportunistic infections,’" she wrote.

Roberts said she would return to the show next week, and assured her fans that her hospitalization wasn’t the result of returning to work too soon after her six-month medical leave and bone-marrow transplant.
