On a night when hardly anything on the broadcast networks generated much interest among viewers, two ABC drama series sank to their lowest numbers yet in the key 18-49 demo, based on Nielsen overnights.
TVbytheNumbers.com reports that “Once Upon a Time” fell to a 2.0 in 18-49, losing 5% from a week ago, and “Red Widow” continued to struggle, losing 30% from its Easter episode and 42% from its March 24 number to sink to a 0.7.
Two networks tied for No. 1 for prime time, but neither Fox nor CBS, which tied with 1.7 averages in viewers 18-49, had particularly strong ratings.
Fox was paced by “Family Guy,” whose 2.5 average in the 18-49 demo, which equaled its performance April 14, made it the top show of the night. Close behind was CBS’s “The Amazing Race” with a 2.3 average, down 4% from last week.
Elsewhere on Fox, “The Cleveland Show” surged 33% from last week to a 1.2 in adults 18-49, “The Simpsons” rose 11% to a 2.0, “Bob’s Burgers” held steady with a 1.7 and “American Dad” ticked up 6% to a 1.9.
CBS got a 1.5 out of “60 Minutes” in viewers 18-49, losing 21% from a week earlier, with the season finale of “The Good Wife” rising 7% to a 1.6 while “The Mentalist” slipped 6% to a 1.5.
ABC’s “Revenge” delivered a 1.7 average in 18-49, losing 13% from its Easter installment and down 6% from its most recent non-holiday episode. “America’s Funniest Home Videos” rebounded from last week’s season low, climbing 15% to a 1.5.
NBC killed off two hours of prime time with a repeat of “The Voice” (1.1 average in 18-49), before breaking out a fresh episode of “Celebrity Apprentice,” which dipped 6% from last week to a 1.5.
Prime time overall looked like this: Fox and CBS tied with 1.7 averages in viewers 18-49, followed by ABC (1.5 average) and NBC (1.2). CBS led total viewers with 9.6 million, followed by ABC (5.7 million), NBC (4.1 million) and Fox (3.6 million).
