A CBS drama series got headed back in the right direction Tuesday night after notching a series low last week, while NBC’s “The Voice” lost ground but still had enough to power the network to a nightly win in the key 18-49 demo, based on Nielsen overnights.

TVbytheNumbers.com reports that CBS’s “NCIS: Los Angeles” bounced back after its all-time low, gaining two-tenths of a point to deliver a 2.2 in viewers 18-49. CBS’s other dramas were down, however, as the network settled for second place behind NBC.

NBC’s “The Voice” was easily the top show of the night with a 3.6 average rating in the 18-49 demo, but that was a drop of three-tenths from a week ago. Leading out from “The Voice,” “Grimm" won the 10 p.m. hour with a 1.9, equaling last week’s number.

CBS’s “NCIS” lost two-tenths from a week ago, settling for a 2.9 in 18-49, while “Golden Boy” managed only a 1.2 to place third at 10 p.m., slipping one-tenth from last week.

Fox had mixed results, with “Hell’s Kitchen” losing two-tenths from last week to deliver a 1.9 average in adults 18-49, while “New Girl” ticked up one-tenth to a 2.1 and “The Mindy Project” held steady with a 1.3.

ABC saw its beleaguered “Splash” improve slightly, rising one-tenth from its series low of last week to register a 1.0 in 18-49. “Dancing with the Stars” was also up, two-tenths higher with a 1.7 average, while “Body of Proof” slipped two-tenths from its previous original episode to a 1.4.

NBC led the way for prime time overall with a 3.0 average in the 18-49 demo, followed by CBS with a 2.2, Fox with a 1.8, Univision with a 1.5 and ABC with a 1.3. CBS came out on top in total viewers with 12.4 million, followed by NBC (9.4 million), ABC (7.7 million), Fox (4.0 million) and Univision (3.8 million).
