HBO Signs Overall Deal With Russell Simmons

Music and TV producer Russell Simmons has signed a two-year overall deal with HBO, according to The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed.

Simmons will develop new projects for the network, which was home to his "Def Comedy Jam," which ran from 1992-97 and from 2006-08 and is credited with helping several African-American comedians get their start.
