MTV has greenlighted two new series, with a common theme running through them in that they’re both about young women following their dreams, reports Deadline.com.
"The Alectrix" is about an all-girl pop music group working with music manager Joe Simpson. The six-part series will track the group as they try to get a break in the music industry. It will debut Tuesday, June 4, at 11 p.m.
The other show, with the working title "South of Heaven," is a docu-series about young women working at a honky tonk in Texas, which will debut in the fall, the story notes.
