Amazon Studios has ordered a project based on a series of detective novels. Deadline.com reports that Amazon greenlighted a pilot based on Michael Connelly’s Harry Bosch books.
Amazon has previously focused on comedies and children’s programming, ordering two comedies and three kids’ shows to series a few weeks ago. But “Bosch,” the latest effort from the online retailer’s streaming service, is a cop drama based on Connelly’s novels about a homicide detective in Los Angeles.
The pilot was written by Connelly and "Treme" co-creator and executive producer Eric Overmeyer, with both men also executive producing.
