An actress who was a regular on a recent comedy series is reportedly in stable condition after a health crisis. People magazine reports that Kathryn Fiore of TBS’s "Wedding Band" spent 12 days fighting for her life following the birth of her daughter.

Fiore, who gave birth to her first child May 28, suffered from a uterine hemorrhage and then went into septic shock and organ failure. She underwent emergency dialysis and other life-saving procedures, and eventually stabilized. Fiore, 33, remains hospitalized and needs to learn to walk and use her hands again, the story says.

Her baby also experienced severe complications, but was discharged after 10 days, the piece adds.

Fiore’s husband is Gabriel Tigerman, who has had roles on "Supernatural" and "Journeyman." A fund has been established for donations to help pay medical bills not covered by insurance, the piece adds.

Fiore played Det. Ingrid Wilson in “Wedding Band,” which aired for one season on TBS before being canceled early this year. The show starred Brian Austin Green.

The New York-born Fiore studied with the Groundlings Theatre in Los Angeles and was a featured performer on “MADtv,” among her numerous TV roles.
