Legal Setback for ‘Good Wife’ Star

"The Good Wife" star Julianna Margulies was handed a legal setback when a judge denied her motion for a summary judgment in a case filed by her former manager, Steve Dontanville, reports the Los Angeles Times’ Show Tracker.

His firm sued the actress last year, claiming that she owned the firm for commissions on "The Good Wife," and is seeking at least $420,000. The judge rejected her argument that the agreement with Dontanville’s firm wasn’t valid because it wasn’t in writing.

If Margulies doesn’t settle out of court, the case may go to trial this year, the story adds.
