Slow Sunday for Broadcast Nets: One Network’s All-Repeat Lineup Wins the Night

Things went from slow to slower for the broadcast networks Sunday night, based on Nielsen overnights for the key 18-49 demo. TVbytheNumbers.com reports that Fox won the night with a 1.3 average rating for prime time, airing an all-repeat programming lineup.

Two reruns of Fox’s “Family Guy” were the top-rated shows of the night, averaging a 1.7 and a 1.8 in viewers 18-49. CBS’s “60 Minutes” was the highest-rated fresh program, delivering a 1.0.

NBC’s two-hour “Women’s Concert for Change: Live From London” settled for a 0.8 average in 18-49. Everything else aired on the broadcast nets was repeat programming.

For prime time overall, Fox’s 1.3 average led the way in the 18-49 demo, followed by CBS (0.8 average), Univision (0.8), NBC (0.7) and ABC (0.6). CBS won total viewers with 5.3 million, followed by Fox (2.9 million), ABC (2.9 million), NBC (2.7 million) and Univision (2.1 million).
