Two Cast Members Dropped From ‘Suburgatory’ in Budget-Cutting Move

Two cast members have been dropped from ABC’s "Suburgatory" because of cost-cutting measures, reports the New York Post.

They are Alan Tudyk, who portrays Noah, and Rex Lee, who plays high-school guidance counselor Mr. Wolfe.

Tudyk was a series regular for the first two seasons, playing the best friend of the protagonist George, played by Jeremy Sisto. Lee appeared often but was a guest-star on the show.

The cutbacks are said to be the result of lower licensing fees for the show, which has performed well enough to get renewed but isn’t a strong performer in the ratings, the piece says. Tudyk and Lee could appear "intermittently" on the show’s next season, however, the story says.

  1. Mistake in Tudyk’s case. He was a great comic relief to Sisto’s straight man

  2. Agreed. Tudyk is flying high on the successes of Wreck It Ralph and 42 back to back, with another big project (for Pixar?) in the works. He should be relieved to be off that teetering ship. Hope another show snaps up Rex Lee as a guest or recurring.
