CBS claimed a narrow win in the Sunday night broadcast ratings, based on Nielsen overnights for the key 18-49 demo. TVbytheNumbers.com reports that the Tiffany Network’s 1.1 average in the demo for prime time was just good enough to edge the other broadcast nets.

CBS won despite airing mostly reruns, as "Big Brother" was its only original program. The reality franchise’s 1.7 average in viewers 18-49 made it the top show of the night on broadcast, even though "Big Brother" was down a half-point from its Wednesday premiere.

Coming in second for the night was Fox, which aired an all-repeat lineup. ABC and NBC mixed repeats and originals, with the worst news for ABC being "Celebrity Wife Swap’s" 1.0 average in 18-49, an all-time low for the series and three-tenths below the number the series turned in last week, along with "Whodunnit’s" similar decline — also down three-tenths from last week to a 1.0.

NBC’s lone fresh program was "Crossing Lines," which equaled last week’s 0.7 average in the 18-49 demo.

For prime time overall, CBS’s 1.1 average rating led the way in adults 18-49, followed by Fox (1.0 average), ABC (0.9), Univision (0.9) and NBC (0.8). CBS also won total viewers, averaging 5.6 million to NBC’s 3.6 million, ABC’s 3.5 million, Fox’s 2.3 million and Univision’s 2.2 million.
