CBS Finds a Way to Replace the ‘Half’ in ‘Two and a Half Men’

CBS is making a surprise casting move to fill time that used to be occupied by the "Half" on the hit sitcom "Two and a Half Men." The Los Angeles Times’ Show Tracker reports that the network’s scaling back of screen time for Angus T. Jones will be countered by the addition of a potentially permanent lesbian character named Jenny.

Jenny is the 21-year-old illegitimate daughter of the late Charlie Harper, who was portrayed by Charlie Sheen before he was fired from the show. News surfaced back in May that the show would be bringing aboard Harper’s long-lost daughter.

Jones’ screen time has been cut down after he publicly condemned the show last year, the piece notes. Jones went through what has been described as a high-profile meltdown that included calling the show "filth."

While the Jenny character, who will start off in a recurring role, has yet to be cast, she’s said to share some traits with her father, including a love of women.

  1. That is just not right. Then what is going to be the new name. Two men and a lesbian?

  2. Two and a Half Kin

  3. (Personally I don’t care about anyone’s preference in a partner…it’s none of my business…as long as everyone involved is happy, that’s all I care about).
So, having made that clear, I do have a suggestion for a new show title:
    “TWO MEN ON LESBO POND”
OK, it’s my stupid for the week…the show has been on a steady downslope for a long time…perhaps it will now reach the long overdue cancellation after Moonves & Co. ring a few more million out of it.

  4. Assuming all this will simply be a running gag so that Jenny can be shown to just go through a series of women just like Charlie did, and I’d be shocked if it didn’t end up being at least some of the same women (a May/December fling for Judith, perhaps, who already had a female partner at one point?)
