HBO announced that a long-running drama series will be back for another season. EW.com’s Inside TV reports that the pay-cable network will bring back the vampire series "True Blood" for a seventh season.

The show’s sixth season debuted June 26 with Brian Buckner as the showrunner, and the seventh season is slated for the summer of 2014. HBO said the drama is pulling in more than 10 million viewers per episode.

"’True Blood’ remains a signature show for HBO, and a true phenomenon with our viewers,” said HBO Programming President Michael Lombardo. “Thanks to Brian Buckner and his talented team, the show continues to be a thrill ride like nothing else on TV.”
