Show Creator Dan Harmon on the Future of NBC’s ‘Community’

"Community" creator Dan Harmon, appearing at Comic-Con, talked about plans for the NBC comedy series. Deadline.com reports that Harmon said he wants the show to make it beyond its fifth season, which will air in the 2013-14 season.

“I don’t consider these the last 13. I will do everything I can to get us the sixth season," Harmon told moderator Chris Hardwick.

While it’s still unclear when NBC will air the show next spring, Harmon said he wouldn’t change the story arcs developed in the fourth season, on which he wasn’t involved. As we reported recently, Harmon was fired from the show last year, then rehired earlier this year.

“We need to re-establish these characters. I don’t want to plan too hard. We’re taking a different approach in the writers room, and we’ll be done shooting by Christmas," Harmon said.
