Most syndicated programs were down and several access magazines dropped to season lows for the week ended July 7, as viewers turned off the TV for the long July 4th weekend, B&C reports.

"Entertainment Tonight," from CBS Television Distribution, dropped 12% to a season low of a 3.0 live-plus-same-day national household rating, the story says, citing Nielsen. CTD’s "Inside Edition" also reached a new season low, sinking 7% to a 2.5 rating.

Talk shows that aired fresh programming performed better, with Disney/ABC’s "Live! With Kelly and Michael" adding 4% for the week and 9% for the year, the piece notes. CTD’s "Rachael Ray," also airing fresh episodes, jumped 17% to a 1.4 rating, its highest in seven weeks, the story adds.
