Actress and Producer Dies — She Produced More Than 200 Episodes of a Long-Running TV Series

An actress who made a name for herself both in front of and behind the cameras of a number of TV shows has died. The Huffington Post reports that Gail Kobe, who produced more than 200 episodes of the CBS daytime drama "The Bold and the Beautiful," died Thursday in Michigan.

No cause of death was reported for Kobe, who has been listed as either 82 or 84 in varying reports.

"Kobe’s first big-screen appearance came in Cecil B. DeMille’s 1956 epic ‘The Ten Commandments,’" the story reports. "From there, she went on to have roles in ‘Maverick,’ ‘Perry Mason,’ ‘Twilight Zone,’ ‘Dr. Kildare,’ ‘Bewitched’ and ‘Gunsmoke,’ according to her IMDb profile."

Kobe also produced episodes of "Guiding Light," "The People’s Court" and "The Edge of Night," among other shows.
