CBS is reworking comedian Jim Gaffigan’s comedy for the 2014-15 television season. The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports that the network gave a pilot order for a reworked version of the project.

The semi-autobiographical comedy stars Gaffigan as a frazzled father of five living in New York, as he is in real life, the piece notes. The pilot will be rewritten by Gaffigan with Fedora Entertainment’s Peter Tolan.

The original pilot co-starred Oscar-winning actress Mira Sorvino as Gaffigan’s wife, but it’s unclear whether she or any other cast members will remain with the project. Sorvino has since booked a multi-episode arc on USA Network’s "Psych."

"The project marks CBS’s second pilot order for the new development season, joining ‘The McCarthys,’ which is also being redeveloped," the piece notes.
