CNN boss Jeff Zucker is hoping the cable channel’s resurrected "Crossfire" will tap into viewer interest that fires up around the start of a new broadcast season, with the show set to debut Monday, Sept. 16, at 6:30 p.m., reports Deadline.com.

"Crossfire" will debut the same week that some of the broadcasters will unveil their new shows, including Fox’s "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow," which will also debut Sept. 16. ABC will premiere the renovated "Dancing with the Stars" the same night.

"Crossfire" has been restaffed with Newt Gingrich, Stephanie Cutter, S.E. Cupp and Van Jones, who are set to discuss political issues. CNN will also add a prime-time show called "AC 360 Later" because it, yes, airs later. The show will air Monday to Thursday at 10 p.m., two hours after Anderson Cooper’s "AC 360."

Meanwhile, Wolf Blitzer’s "The Situation Room" has been cut down to 90 minutes, airing from 5-6:30 p.m., in order to make space for "Crossfire."
