We're looking for an aggressive reporter who will enterprise ideas and break stories. This person will research, write, shoot and edit stories for deadline broadcasts on the air, online and on mobile news products. Solid writing, shooting and editing skills are a must. WSB-TV, The Cox owned ABC affiliate in Atlanta (Market rank #8) seeks an experienced Controller. This person is responsible for the daily management of the business office as well as employee benefits and human resources. This person is also responsible for all the station/web/mobile accounting functions and financial reporting requirements including monthly reporting of financial statements, corporate reports, supervision of payroll, credit and collections. This is a Department Head position that reports directly to the General Manager. It requires a 4 year degree in accounting, previous Controller experience in a major market, an impressive performance track record and a CPA degree is preferred. The top candidates will be energetic self starters who pay close attention to accuracy and details. We are looking for someone who is a leader and is entrepreneurial. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and Word a must, familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint a plus. Prior experience with Great Plains Accounting and/or FRx Forecaster a plus.

Columbia College Chicago is an urban institution of over 12,500 undergraduate and graduate students, emphasizing arts, media, and communication in a liberal arts setting. The Television Department at Columbia College Chicago invites applications for a tenure-track position to begin either spring semester 2010 or fall semester 2010. We seek individuals who have an extensive track record in producing/directing including, but not limited to, drama, comedy or commercials. Experience in emerging forms like internet and mobile television are essential for this position. Candidates must have a graduate degree, distinguished record of professional achievement and teaching experience. We are looking for individuals to contribute to the quality of the directing and production concentration as well as the programming we produce on a regular basis through our classes and our television station, Frequency TV. Our desired candidates should be prepared to teach an array of introductory and advanced courses and to be involved closely in refining curriculum in various areas including the internet and mobile media concentration. The ability to translate high professional standards to an academic environment is critical for this position. The Television Department currently serves 300 undergraduate majors with a rigorous curriculum in Aesthetics, Studio and Field Production, Producing, Editing, Motion Graphics, Internet & Mobile Television and Writing.
