Lifetime Launching Campaign to Have Viewers Switch to DirecTV

Lifetime Entertainment, whose Lifetime and Lifetime Movie Network were taken off EchoStar’s Dish Network Jan 1 in a dispute over license fees, said Thursday it is launching a multimedia campaign offering viewers incentives to switch to cable or DirecTV. Cable operator partners in Lifetime’s effort include Comcast in Dallas, Atlanta, Denver and Albuquerque, N.M.; Time Warner Cable in New York, Houston and Raleigh-Durham, N.C.; Charter in Greenville, S.C.; and Bright House in Orlando, Fla.
