Fox scored a ratings homerun in adults 18 to 49 Tuesday with the telecast of the Major League Baseball All-Star Game, which won the network the night in that demo.

The game scored a 4.0 preliminary national rating in adults 18 to 49, a number that includes live viewing plus same-day viewing via digital video recorder. The 2006 game was down 5 percent in the demo from last year’s game (4.3).

After baseball, NBC had the highest-rated program for the night in adults 18 to 49 with an original episode of “Last Comic Standing” (3.3) at 9 p.m. (ET). CBS ran the season time-period premiere of its summer reality series “Big Brother: All Stars” at 8 p.m., scoring a 2.9. That was down 15 percent from the show’s Tuesday premiere last summer. No. 3 for the night was a rerun of NBC drama “Law & Order: SVU” at 10 p.m. with a 2.8.

At 9 p.m. on CBS, the time-period premiere of sophomore summer series “Rock Star: Supernova” scored a 2.7, up 23 percent from its premiere last Wednesday, but down 10 percent from the Tuesday premiere last year of “Rock Star: INXS.”
