Chris Dinan, a 20-year veteran of CBS News, is the new senior broadcast producer of “The CBS Evening News With Katie Couric.” The promotion, announced Monday by “Evening News” executive producer Rick Kaplan, is effective immediately.
“Chris’ abilities are well known, and he is one of the most talented and well-respected journalists at our network,” Mr. Kaplan said in the announcement. “He’s the best producer and the best person for the No. 2 role.”
Mr. Dinan joined CBS News on the radio side in 1987, moved to “CBS This Morning” in 1992 and joined “Evening News” as a producer in 1998.
