Oct 9, 2007  •  Post A Comment

Kevin Kay was named president of Spike TV.
Mr. Kay had been general manager and executive VP of Spike since Oct. 2005. He reports to Doug Herzog, president of the MTV Networks Entertainment Group. He will continue to oversee production of specials and sports programming, as well as the marketing, corporate communications, research, on-air promotions, online and production departments.
“Kevin has demonstrated incredible leadership, vision, and creativity in the evolution of Spike TV into the vibrant entertainment destination for men it is today,” said Mr. Herzog. “His numerous successes thus far, including igniting the UFC-phenomenon by launching ‘The Ultimate Fighter,’ are a testament to his foresight in creating brand-defining hit programming for guys.”
