Close-Up: Alison Dexter

Alison Dexter was promoted to executive VP of production with Nickelodeon/MTVN Kids and Family Group. Ms. Dexter, previously senior VP of production with the group, will be responsible for all TV production for Nickelodeon, Nick at Nite, Noggin, Nicktoons and The N. Based at the Nickelodeon Animation Studio in Burbank, Calif., Ms. Dexter will oversee all planning for Nick production facilities; supervising all physical production and technical personnel; and managing production budgets and plans for the networks. She will manage daily operations of Nick’s production studios in Burbank, New York and Los Angeles. Ms. Dexter started her Nick career in 1991 as a line producer for teen soap opera “Fifteen.” She’s a graduate of the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

  2. I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)
