CBS’ Osgood to Receive Service Award from Broadcasters Association

Charles Osgood is receiving the National Association of Broadcasters Distinguished Service Award during the organization’s show in April.
Mr. Osgood, anchor of “CBS News Sunday Morning” and CBS Radio’s “The Osgood File,” has been with CBS since 1971, and took over the anchor spot on “Morning” in 1994.
“Charles Osgood has received some of the highest praise in broadcast journalism for his engaging wit and imaginative commentaries,” said NAB president/CEO David K. Rehr. “We are honored to recognize him for the significant contributions he has made to the broadcasting industry.”
The NAB show is April 11-17 in Las Vegas. Mr. Osgood will receive his award during the show’s keynote address Monday, April 14.
