A segment titled “Cost of War” on “The NewsHour With Jim Lehrer” and a report titled “Health Care Franchise” on “NOW on PBS” were recognized as well.
Stories on “CBS Sunday Morning” (“Take As Directed”), CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360” (“Keeping Them Honest—Hidden Spending”) and “NBC Nightly News With Brian Williams” (“Trophy Part Two: At Whose Cost?”) also earned one Emmy each.
Matthew Winkler, editor-in-chief of Bloomberg News, was presented a Lifetime Achievement Award.
