Frances Berwick has been promoted to general manager of Bravo Media.
Ms. Berwick had been executive VP of programming and production at Bravo.
The move came a week after Jason Klarman was named general manager at Oxygen Media.
Both Bravo Media and Oxygen Media are units of NBC Universal overseen by Lauren Zalaznick, president of Oxygen Media and Bravo Media.
“Frances has been an excellent creative and business leader at Bravo, shepherding attention-getting, Emmy Award-winning hits for the past 12 years,” said Zalaznick. “I am confident that she will continue to lead the team to even greater successes as she evolves the Bravo Media brand.”
In addition to continued oversight of all programming and production, Ms. Berwick will be responsible for Bravo’s marketing division.
In 2003, Ms. Berwick oversaw the development and production of “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy,” a hit series that put Bravo on the map. After NBC’s acquisition of Bravo, she developed, produced and launched Emmy-nominated reality series “Project Runway” and “Top Chef” and the recently renewed Emmy-winning series “Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List.”
Ms. Berwick joined Bravo Networks in 1996 from Britain’s Channel 4 Television, where she headed international TV distribution and licensing.
