Editors Announce Award Nominees

“Law & Order: SVU,” “30 Rock” and “Dexter” were among the television nominees for the 58th annual American Cinema Editors’ Eddie Awards, which celebrate excellence in editing.
The Eddies have added a reality television category for the first time this year. Nominees are Fox’s “Cops,” the Discovery Channel’s “Man vs. Wild” and ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars.”
Individual episodes of NBC’s “30 Rock,” Showtime’s “Californication” and HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm” were nominated for edited half-hour series for television. NBC’s “Chuck” and “Law & Order: SVU” and FX’s “Damages” received nods for edited hourlong commercial series.
Episodes of Showtime’s “Dexter” and HBO’s “Rome” and “The Sopranos” were given nominations for edited hourlong non-commercial, or cable, series.
“Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee,” “Life Support” and “PU-239” were nominated for edited miniseries for noncommercial television, while episodes of “The Company,” “Lost” and made-for-television movie “Pictures of Hollis Woods” received kudos for edited miniseries for commercial TV.
The awards are set for Feb. 17 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
