Third Season of ‘Whacked Out Sports’ Clears 75% of U.S.

Mighty Oak Entertainment has announced a “firm go” for the third season of weekly clip series “Whacked Out Sports” for the 2008-09 season.
The independent distributor has pinned down 75% of the country for season three, including 25 of the top 30 markets, with commitments from stations in the Fox, Gannett, Raycom, Sinclair and NBC groups.
“We’ve already produced 52 new shows, bringing the total to 104 episodes,” said Mark OBrien, president of Mighty Oak Entertainment. “Our continued success with this series is a testament to the brand’s appeal and its evergreen library value.”
The series, in the midst of its second season, continues to be a strong performer for syndication weekend play, pulling in a 1.4 score, and ranks as the only weekly unscripted series to post year-to-year growth, up 8%, according to Nielsen Media Research.
Stations committed to airing “Whacked Out Sports” in 2008 include WNBC-TV in New York, KTTV-TV in Los Angeles, WFLD-TV in Chicago, WXIA-TV in Atlanta, KPRC-TV in Houston, WJBK-TV in Detroit, KPNX-TV in Phoenix, KOMO-TV in Seattle, KARE-TV in Minneapolis, KUSA-TV in Denver, WOLF-TV in Orlando, Fla., KCRA-TV in Sacramento, KUSA-TV in St. Louis, WCNC-TV in Charlotte, N.C., WTHR-TV in Indianapolis and KNSD-TV in San Diego.

  3. Whacked sucks!!! They are a riot off of jack ass and not even close in humor. They also made fun of head injuries. Not cool. No humors, fucking asshole. Don’t waste your time;-(
