NBC Digital Entertainment will release a slew of original Web content inspired by its prime-time offerings starting this summer.
The new digital offerings include original Webisodes of “Chuck,” “Heroes” and “The Office.”
Also in the works are new digital productions such as “Fears, Secrets & Lies,” a user-driven interactive series.
“The breadth and depth of our digital content is literally exploding this season,” NBC Digital Entertainment Executive Vice President Vivi Zigler said. “We’re incredibly lucky to have such collaborative writers, producers and actors to work with, all of whom help us make the entertainment experience so much richer for our users.”
New Web content for “Chuck,” “Heroes” and “The Office” is expected to be released on NBC.com in July, with additional clips introduced throughout the season. Each Web episode will be connected to on-air content in order to enhance the viewer experience.
NBC, which today unveiled its 2008-09 primetime schedule, will offer different online content for its returning and premiering series throughout the season, including sneak-peek clips for “ER,” where-are-they-now videos with contestants from “The Biggest Loser” and profile segments featuring the models of “Deal or No Deal.”
