ESPN2 will televise the Professional Bull Riders’ 2008 “PBR Team Shootout” beginning Aug. 10 from Del Mar Fairgrounds in California. The two-man team competition will feature the greatest bull riders from around the world in a five-event series across the country.
The top 20 bull riders will be showcased in the Built Ford Tough Series, presented by Wrangler World Standings, with a teammate of their choice from all eligible PBR card holders. The top 10 teams then will compete in the 2008 PBR Team Shootout Finals in Pueblo, Colo., airing Sept. 14.
“The PBR is proud to work with ESPN to showcase the ‘Toughest Sport on Dirt’ to a new audience of dedicated sports fans. The events we’ve selected have a strong fan base that is knowledgeable about the PBR, and we are confident they will enjoy this new competition format,” Randy Bernard, CEO of PBR, said in a statement.
