E! Entertainment Television has renewed “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” for a third season premiering in the first quarter of 2009.
The half-hour reality series was the No. 1 original series among women 18-49 in its Sunday night time slot for all ad-supported cable networks. The May 4 episode was the series’ most-watched telecast, averaging more than 1.7 million total viewers.
“Keeping Up With the Kardashians” is produced by Ryan Seacrest and Eliot Goldberg of Ryan Seacrest Productions. Jon Murray and Jeff Jenkins are executive producers for Bunim-Murray Productions.
“E! viewers have embraced the Kardashian family, and the series has become one of television’s most talked-about shows,” said Lisa Berger, executive VP of original programming and series development for E!, in a statement. “We are fortunate to work with Seacrest and Bunim-Murray, who have an exceptional ability to capture the Kardashians’ hilarious, chaotic and always entertaining personalities and family dynamics. There is never a shortage on drama and we are certain the new season will be another wild ride.”
