Fox Entertainment President Kevin Reilly knows the network is sitting on a double-edged sword with the hype preceding J.J. Abrams’ “Fringe” and Joss Whedon’s “Dollhouse”—with expectations high. a disappointment can sour rabid fans.
“It does create higher expectations, higher scrutiny,” Mr. Reilly said in an exclusive video interview with TVWeek columnist and deputy editor Josef Adalian. “I think if Joss Whedon moves a comma, people start panicking.”

Mr. Reilly says dealing with that kind of fan buzz is a good problem for Fox to have.
“I think the ‘Save “Dollhouse”’ campaign has already started online. God bless his fans, but that’s a little overboard given that the show hasn’t really started yet.”
