The Sportsman Channel and DirecTV have made a distribution deal.
The network will be available to DirecTV customers in the Choice Xtra package by the end of January.
The Sportsman Channel is owned and operated by InterMedia Outdoors, which also recently acquired Barrett Productions, a producer of outdoors, adventure and sports TV programming.
“The Sportsman Channel and its terrific lineup of branded outdoor programming is a welcome addition to our robust programming lineup,” Derek Chang, executive VP of content strategy and development for DirecTV, said in a statement. “This channel is a must-have for outdoor enthusiasts and reinforces DirecTV’s position as the leading provider of outdoor programming to consumers.”
