The season premiere of several network shows came in January this year. In homes with TiVo digital video recorders, the most viewing of those shows came from people watching on a delayed basis. The chart below shows how long after the original broadcast time the shows were viewed. “Lost,” for example, had 27% of its viewing between three days and two weeks after it originally aired. None of that viewing was figured into the commercial ratings that are used to determine advertising revenues.
