VH1 has renewed five of its shows, including “Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew” and “Brooke Knows Best.”
“I Want to Work for Diddy,” “Gotti’s Way” and “Tool Academy” also earned a second season.
The new seasons of “Diddy” and “Celebrity Rehab” will premiere in the fall, while “Brooke” will return this spring. “Tool Academy” is set to return Aug. 2.
The network also has ordered “New York Goes to Work,” featuring Tiffany “New York” Pollard, and a spinoff of “Celebrity Rehab” entitled “Sex Rehab With Dr. Drew.” “New York” will debut May 4.
“VH1 is riding high on its most successful wave of original hit programming yet. We launched more new hit series than any other cable network in the first quarter of 2009,” Jeff Olde, executive VP of original programming and production for VH1, said in a statement. “Much of our momentum can be credited to many of the franchises and talent that we’re renewing today. These upcoming projects will continue to set the mark for reality television while connecting with some of the most loyal viewers in all of television.”
