Reality powerhouse Granada America is getting a new name: ITV Studios, Inc.
The company behind formats such as “Hell’s Kitchen” and “I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here” will immediately be rebranded to reflect its British owners, ITV Studios PLC. Paul Buccieri will continue as chief executive officer of the new ITV Studios, Inc.
The former Granada America was created in February 2004; Mr. Buccieri came on board about 18 months ago.
ITV Studios, Inc.’s other U.S. projects include “Nanny 911” (which was recently revived and moved to CMT), “Kitchen Nightmares,” “Celebrity Fit Club,” “First 48,” “Room Raiders” and “First Love, Second Chance.”
In the UK, ITV is known for a mix of reality and scripted series, including the iconic soap opera “Coronation Street.”
