HD programming picks for June 28-July 4: “A Prairie Home Companion,” “Idlewild,” “Blind Horizon”

-- “A Prairie Home Companion” (HBO HD). Saturday, June 30, 8 p.m.: Lily Tomlin and Meryl Streep, among others, do their own singing in the HD premiere of Robert Altman’s final film, about the last live performance of Garrison Keillor’s famous radio show.

-- “Idlewild” (Cinemax HD) Saturday, June 30, 10 p.m.: Rap group Outkast’s Andre Benjamin and Antwan A. Patton star in this musical fable set around a nightclub in the South during Prohibition.

-- “Blind Horizon” (HD.net). Thursday, July 5, 7:05 p.m.: A man wakes up in a New Mexican hospital with little memory left except a vague recollection of a plot to assassinate the president in this HD-premiere film.
