TV Guide Partners with CastTV for Search
Emerging video search service CastTV snagged its first customer via a two-year licensing deal with TV Guide.
TV Guide will use CastTV’s video search technology to power results for the company’s online video guide. The site is located at video.tvguide.com and provides targeted searches through both professional and independent online video.
Under the deal, CastTV now automatically indexes results from broadcast and cable networks, movie download sites, sports sites and video aggregators for TV Guide.
As video proliferates on the Web, video search has become increasingly important.
CastTV will launch a consumer destination this summer.
